TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former president of charity organization Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Ahyudin has fulfilled the summons of the National Police Main Headquarters’s Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim) to clarify the alleged donation embezzlement his organization committed.
Wearing a black suit over a white shirt, Ahyudin arrived at the Bareskrim headquarters on Friday, July 8, and did not answer many of the journalists’ questions that were there waiting for him, Antaranews reported.
He efficiently answered “Yes, [I’m here] to provide clarification,” and when asked more questions said that he would answer them later.
Bareskrim Director of special economy crimes Whisnu Hermawan said the request for clarification was addressed to ACT President Ibnu Hadjar and former ACT President Ahyudin regarding the alleged misappropriation of public funds.
In addition to the two ACT officials, investigators also suggested ACT to include financial and operational parties to attend to provide clarification.
