TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today officially charged the former Home Affairs Ministry's regional finance administration director general Ardian Noervianto and his accomplices Sukarman Loke and Laode M. Syukur with accepting bribes.
Ardian, Sukarman, and Syukur are charged with accepting IDR 2.4 billion from inactive East Kolaka Regent, Andi Merya Nur, as kickbacks for obtaining loans via the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program in 2021.
The East Kolaka regent was seeking fresh funds from the regional PEN loans. He was introduced to Ardian by Sukarman Loke, the head of Muna Regency's Environmental Office, and Laode M. Syukur, Ardian's former classmate at the state-run Public Administration Institute (STPDN).
Via Syukur, Ardian said that the Home Affairs Ministry will recommend a loan ceiling of IDR 151 billion for East Kolaka, with a "fee" of 3.0 percent. Ardian Noervianto received SGD 131,000 (IDR 1.5 billion) from Andi Merya through an intermediary on June 21, 2021.
KPK prosecutors also charged Sukarman and Syukur with receiving money from Andi Merya in stages through transfers, totaling IDR 2.405 billion.
After receiving the money, Ardian signed a letter that stated the East Kolaka Regency Government would be considered to receive a loan of up to IDR 151 billion.
