TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Endra Zulpan confirmed that photos of four alleged attackers of Ade Armando that widely circulated on social media are being identified.
The lecturer of the University of Indonesia (UI) was beaten and stripped during a students’ demonstration in front of the Parliament complex on Monday, April 11.
“Yes, we have identified them as the perpetrators of the assault,” said Zulpan as quoted from Antara on Monday, April 11.
The four alleged attackers are identified as DUH, AP, TSBP, and AL.
According to Zulpan, the police would immediately look for the assault perpetrators as ordered by the Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran.
Jakarta Metro Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran said on Monday night that his side was examining the attackers of the social media activist.
Ade Armando was beaten by the angry mob when joining the mass protest that took place in front of the DPR building. He suffered injuries in the head and face and is undergoing medical treatment at a hospital in Jakarta.
