TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe medical ethics councils (MKEK) of the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) discharged Terawan Agus Putranto from the IDI membership permanently. The decision was made in IDI’s 31st congress in Banda Aceh, Friday, March 25. 

The video of the congress decision was shared by an epidemiologist with the University of Indonesia, Pandu Riono. "Terawan is discharged permanently from the IDI membership, one of the decisions of the 31st Congress in Banda Aceh," said Pandu who posted the video via account @drpriono1. He allowed the public to quote his tweet.

The first is the medical ethics councils’ meeting decision on the permanent dismissal of Prof. Dr. dr. Terawan Agus Putranto, SpRad(K) as the IDI member.

Secondly, the dismissal is done by PB IDI at the latest in 28 working days. The third is that the decision is effective since the date of stipulation.

Tempo has contacted IDI chairman Adib Khumaidi, MKEK chief Djoko Widyarto, and a number of committees but there have been no responses.
