Jakarta Police Arrests Famous DJ for Alleged Drug Abuse

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A famous disc jockey with apt name-initial, DJ, was arrested by Jakarta Metro Police on suspicion of drug abuse, in particular shabu or methamphetamine.

"We had just arrested an artist, who is a well-known DJ by profession, for suspicion of drug abuse," Jakarta Metro Police PR chief, Sr. Comr. Endra Zulpan, told Antara in Jakarta, Thursday, March 17.

Zulpan said the DJ is suspected to be involved in the abuse of methamphetamine.

He was unwilling to disclose further details of the case as the police are still making inquiries.

The Jakarta Metro Police's director of Drugs and Narcotics Unit, Sr. Comr. Mukti Juharsa, confirmed the DJ's arrest.
