Jakarta Auto Week 2022 Opens in Senayan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Auto Week 2022 officially opens Tuesday, 15 March, at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Senayan. The event was launched officially by Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita

Despite today's official opening, the exhibition had actually started on Saturday, March 12. The closing date would be on Sunday, March 20.

Minister Agus Gumiwang hopes that the Jakarta Auto Week 2022 can raise the transaction value of automotive products and provide the best offers for visitors. "Therefore, it would accelerate the revival of the national automotive industry, which will have multiple effects that are wide enough for other automotive sectors," the minister said in his opening address.

On  the same occasion, the Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers' Association (Gaikindo) chairman Yohannes Nangoi said that the Jakarta Auto Week focuses on car sales

"We hope that the Jakarta Auto Week can provide a new drive and contribute to sales figures in the Indonesian automotive industry sector," he said.

Thirteen brands of cars are participating in the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2022. They are Daihatsu, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota, and Wuling.
