President Jokowi Opens IIMS Hybrid 2021 Automotive Exhibition

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia International Motor Show 2021, touted as the hybrid automotive exhibition or IIMS Hybrid 2021, was opened by President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday, April 15.
The President, in his acceptance speech, said the automotive industry as an economic driver must be revived amidst the Covid-19 pandemic especially for domestic industries that rely on the automotive sector.
He also hoped that the automotive industry will soon see investment growth and be reminded about the investment climate. “We currently have the Indonesia Investment Authority that is hoped to bring ease and assurance for the investors,” said the president in the event.
Jokowi cited the green technology transformation program and hoped that this will become Indonesia’s leading industry.
According to event organizer Dyandra Promosindo, the IIMS Hybrid 2021 was opened under strict health protocols that adhere to CHSE aspects of Cleanliness, Health Safety, and Environment Sustainability. This event is held from April 15-April 25 at the JIExpo Kemayoran in Central Jakarta.
