Over 900,000 Vehicles Leaving Greater Jakarta Area, Jasa Marga Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State toll road operator Jasa Marga recorded the number of vehicles leaving Greater Jakarta Area or Jabodetabek in the period of December 17-22, reached 938,144 units, or increased by 7.8 percent compared to that in November 2021.
Quoted from Jasa Marga official statement on Thursday, December 23, the total volume of vehicles leaving Jakarta increased by 7.8 percent compared to the amount in November at 870,371 vehicles. Those numbers were accumulated from four main highways, namely Cikupa Toll, Ciawi Toll, Main Cikampek Toll and Kalihurip Utama Toll.
From the east, 223,758 vehicles left for Trans Java Toll via Cikampek toll gate of Jakarta-Cikampek highway, or increased by 14.3% compared to normal traffic. There were 208,652 vehicles leaving to Bandung via Kalihurip Toll, Cipularang highway, or increased by 10.3 percent.
The total of vehicles leaving Jabodetabek via the two toll gates were 432,230 or increased by 12.4 percent.
As from the west direction, 288,658 vehicles left for Merak from Cikupa toll gate of Tangerang-Merak highway, or increased by 1,1%.
From the south, the vehicles leaving to Puncak via Ciawi Toll of Jagorawi highway were 217,163 cars, or increased by 8.5 percent.
Jasa Marga calls on the driver to be prepared before going on a trip, make sure that they are in the prime condition, obey health protocols, fill the fuel tank and e-money with sufficient amount, and follow the traffic signs as well as officer's directions, and to rest if tired.
