TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government plans to expand the location of odd-even policy implementation to 25 points. It was previously applied in 13 roads and then expanded to 23 roads.
Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, explained the authorities are still reviewing the other 12 roads for the implementation of the traffic policy.
Besides the vehicle density, the factor of public transportation was also under the agency's consideration in implementing the odd-even policy. Especially since the public transportation is allowed to operate normally, or in a maximum capacity, during the relaxed Covid restriction or PPKM Level 1.
Syafrin reminded the public that despite the normal capacity in public transport, abiding by the health protocol is still a must. Although social distancing is not applied, mask-wearing will be strictly monitored.
"We forbid passengers either from bus stops, stations or public transport facilities to talk, be it on the phone, with friends or other passengers."
