TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police narcotics unit nabbed three cafes in South Jakarta area for violating the Covid-19 restriction rules, or level 3 PPKM, today, October 2, at around 01:30. The three cafes are Secondfloor Resto and Bar in Kemang, Half Way Bar in Kebayoran Lama, and Kopi Koboy at Radio Dalam.
"There weren't too many visitors, [but] we dispersed them, since the management must abide by the regulation," said the Jakarta Metro Police director of Narcotics Unit Sr. Commissioner Mukti Juharsa on Saturday, October 2.
The authorities nabbed the cafes when there were visitors. Meanwhile, based on PPKM Level 3 rules, the operating hours of a cafe is only until 21:00.
But the police did not seal the businesses in three locations despite the violations. At Kopi Koboy, the authorities confiscated alcoholic drinks since they did not have the permit to sell the beverages (SIUP MB).
"We took the drinks to the office and questioned the owner, we'll proceed them according to the law," said Mukti. According to the police, they sell the alcoholic drinks without the permit.
Mukti said they still found many violations committed by business owners during the level 3 PPKM. He added that the authorities will conduct the raid more often.
