Daily COVID-19 Cases Drop Below 10,000 Ahead of PPKM Announcement

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ahead of the announcement of the public activity restriction (PPKM) continuity, Indonesia logged daily COVID-19 cases and deaths below 10,000, as the government data as of 12:00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) showed that 9,604 cases were recorded.
The additional cases have increased the country's total COVID-19 caseload to 3,989,060 cases since the first case was announced on March 2, 2020.
The number of recoveries to date was also up by 24,758 to 3,571,082 in total, while the death rate also rose by 842 to 127,214.
The government tested 122,737 specimens today and is presently keeping an eye on 268,947 suspects.
