200,000 Doses Covid-19 Vaccine Injected to People in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said the capital city administration has injected 214,523 doses Covid-19 Vaccine; 141,225 doses in the first phase and 73,298 doses in the second phase.
Jakarta health department has, so far, vaccinated market traders, teachers and educational staff, journalists, and athletes.
"As for healthcare workers, the first and second doses of vaccine injections have reached 65.3 percent," Riza said at Jakarta City Hall on Friday, Feb. 26.
The Covid-19 vaccination is also planned to be administered to hotel and tourism workers. "We'll start to move to other sectors besides the healthcare staff gradually. Hopefully, we'll soon vaccinate the general public" he added.
The steps was taken based on the amount of doses received by the health department. The Covid-19 vaccine supply is not centered in Jakarta, but spread to other provinces.
Jakarta Administration is able to vaccinate 19,741 people per day, as it has 511 healthcare facilities with 1,648 vaccinators.
“If we have a lot of Covid-19 vaccine supply, we can do the immunization faster in Jakarta. But we understand and give the chances to other regions [too]," the deputy governor remarked.
