TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metro Police Chief Gen. Nana Sudjana on Tuesday said the police have received the permit for today’s protest against the omnibus job creation law held by a group proclaiming to be “anak NKRI” or the ‘children of the unitary state of the republic of Indonesia.’
According to the police chief, the permit mentions the group proclaiming the protest as the ‘1310 Rally.’
“THey have notified us and will be present with only 1,000 protesters. They just need to show whether it is 1,000 or not,” said Nana at the Metro Jaya Police headquarters on October 12.
He did not detail the number of police and military members that will be mobilized for the rally but assured that the rally will be guarded with numbers that will adapt to the anti-omnibus law protesters that will actually attend it.
“Especially the State Palace where we will maximize security,” said the Metro Jaya Police Chief.
