TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian spokesperson for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, on Friday, July 17, announced 1,462 new confirmed cases, propelling the total tally to 83,130 cases nationwide. 

“The total number of cases is 83,130 positive cases,” said Achmad Yurianto on Friday. 

Meanwhile, the number of former patients who managed to recover has increased to 41,834 with 3,957 deaths from a total number of specimens of over one million. 

The government continues to remind the public to actively prevent the spread of COVID-19 and obey existing health protocols and physical distancing measures.
