Anies Reminds Central Govt of Rp5.1bn Unpaid Profit Share

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan reminded the central government about the profit-sharing fund worth Rp5.1 trillion that has not been paid during a teleconference meeting with Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
“We need certainty about the revenue-sharing fund. During a limited meeting, we inform that there are funds needed to be executed as it will help. Last year’s unpaid profit share of the Finance Ministry to Jakarta administration worth Rp6.4 trillion became Rp5.1 trillion because of adjustment,” he said on Thursday, April 2.
The governor also demanded the profit-sharing fund for Quartal II amounting to Rp2.4 trillion to be disbursed soon as it will help Jakarta administration handling the Covid-19 pandemic.
Anies Baswedan explained that Jakarta was not hindered by budget in dealing with the pandemic, but rather the regional cash flow. “If the sharing funds are paid, we will be flexible in managing the cash flow,” he remarked.
Jakarta has now allocated Rp3.032 trillion from the 2020 regional budget or APBD for handling the Covid-19 pandemic until May.
The funds are provided to Health Agency, Social Agency, and Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, and several OPD (regional apparatus organization) related to the handling of the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus.
