TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 45 trips of KRL commuter line from Bekasi, Cikarang, Bogor, and Depok bound for Jakarta Kota will only be operable until Manggarai Station until Sunday, February 23. This is implemented due to the revitalization project of train infrastructure in Gambir Station and Jakarta Kota Station.
“We, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI), apologize for the disruption between Manggarai Station and Jakarta Kota Station this morning,” said the Corporate Communication VP Anne Purba in a written statement on Friday, February 21.
According to Anne, the redirection plan is necessary to provide safety and anticipate the crowd of commuters queuing in Cikini Station-Jakarta Kota Station during the project.
PT KCI and state-owned railway operator PT KAI regional operation or Daop 1 Jakarta had conducted dissemination regarding the train traffic engineering that the project will be carried out in Jakarta Kota station starting today, February 21, while the project in Gambir Station had finished within nine days, Anne added.
She outlined that 16 train trips of Bogor-Jakarta Kota and 16 train trips of Bekasi-Jakarta Kota will only be available until Manggarai Station, while 22 train trips of Bogor-Jakarta Kota will be suspended.
“We appeal to commuters to keep paying attention to information from the station or KRL officers about the final destination of the train. The latest news on KRL trips can be accessed through KCI’s social media accounts @commuterline and KRL Access app,” Anne underlined.
