TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration has distributed anti-snake venom serum across a number of hospitals in the city following a plethora of cobra snake discoveries within urban environments across the Greater Jakarta area.
For the moment, the serum has yet been distributed to community health centers (Puskesmas).

Kristi said that the serums would only be eligible to be administered for snakebite victims. She also said that a number of hospitals will charge for the serum while others will give the treatment for free.
“RSCM will charge Rp900,000 while RS Fatmawati charges Rp595,000 for the anti-snake venom serum. Hospitals that administer the serum without charge, for instance, is RSPI Sulianti for patients covered under the BPJS (national healthcare),” said Kristi.
