21 October 2019 12:52 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - One after the other, candidates for President Jokowi’s Cabinet is starting to show after a number of known figures were summoned by the president to the Presidential Palace earlier this morning.

Following the arrival of former Constitutional Court chief justice Mahfud MD, South Minahasa Regent, Christiany Eugenia Tetty Paruntu, and Gojek founder Nadiem Makarim at the State Palace today, two known non-political figures were also seen walking into the Palace with white shirts.

The two are; NET Mediatama Televisi President Commissioner Wishnutama and entrepreneur Erick Thohir

“I was contacted just last night. I don’t know what it is about,” said Wishnutama as he walked passed journalists at the palace today.

Meanwhile, Erick Thohir opted to keep a tight mouth and asked media journalists to wait until after he meets the president. “Later,” he said.

Both Wishnutama and Erick Thohir were equally tight-knit with President Jokowi during his presidential election candidacy earlier this year. At the time, Erick took the role of Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin campaign team leader while Wishnutama designed Jokowi’s creative campaign.

Wishnutama is also widely considered to be the person behind the surprise of the Asian Games 2018 opening ceremony where the president was made to appear on a large capacity motorcycle as he entered the Asian Games venue.
