Indonesia's First Heliport Ready to Operate from CGK

TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Indonesia now has its first heliport located in Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Tangerang, Banten. The first construction phase, done in collaboration between Whitesky Aviation and Angkasa Pura II (AP2), has been completed.
The heliport is ready for operations, albeit for a trial period first, AP2 president director Muhammad Awaluddin said in a written statement, Friday, April 12.
Whitesky CEO Denon Prawiraatmadja said the heliport occupies a land of 2.7 hectares.
The first heliport in Indonesia comes fully equipped with eight helipads, 10 hangars, a customers' lounge, cafes, office spaces, as well as medic evacuation facilities (Helimedic), among others.
The project's entire worth is estimated to reach roughly RP80bn.
Denon said the heliport's hangars have a capacity to take in 50 Bell 505 choppers or 20 Bell 429/Airbus H130.
