Election Debate; Prabowo to Defend Pancasila as State Ideology

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto stated his commitment about Pancasila as the state ideology during the opening of the fourth election debate.
"For us, Pancasila is the final ideology [for Indonesia]. Pancasila was formed in a greatly important discussion. It's the excellence of the generation of founders," said Prabowo Subianto when delivering his vision and mission before entering the debate's first session at Shangri-La Hotel, Central Jakarta, Saturday, March 30.
He promised to defend Pancasila as the state ideology. "If anyone wants to change [it], I will face them with all strength that I have," Prabowo remarked.
During the opening of the election debate, Prabowo also mentioned governmental issue as one of the topics in tonight's debate, saying that the state institutions should be steered clear of corrupted practices such as dealing positions at state institutions.
"There are too many corruptions and practices of dealing positions [in governmental offices]. We will clear up the state institutions [from corruption] and strengthen the state institutions," he said.
In the fourth presidential debate, Prabowo and his rival Jokowi will fight their ideas at the issues of ideology, government, security, and defense, as well as international relationships.
