TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto on Tuesday, February 17, visited a musician Ahmad Dhani in Medaeng Prison, Sidoarjo, East Java. Dhani was found guilty in a hate speech case.
Prabowo arrived at Medaeng after his campaign tour to Islamic Boarding School Ponpes Majlis Talim Kyai Tambak Deres in Surabaya.
“I have visited Ahmad Dhani. I think this is an untruth of the law. In my opinion, this will be noted in history, this is an act of political revenge, political intimidation,” Prabowo remarked.

The chair of Gerindra Party said that his side had discussed the matter with legal experts to fight for Ahmad Dhani through the legal proceeding.
“This is recorded by history, and history not only lasts a year, two years, five years or 20 years, but hundreds of years this,” he added.
Prabowo Subianto appealed to law enforcement to really enforce the law and uphold the law as it is sacred. “Law is fundamental because without it a country may destroy,” he said.
