Indonesia's Nasi Uduk Promoted at Lithuania Tourism Exhibition

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian culinary nasi uduk (steamed coconut rice) and semur daging (beef stew) displayed in Indonesian pavilion at Lithuania’s tourism exhibition 'Adventur 2019' in Vilnius received a warm welcome from the locals.
An official of Indonesian Embassy in Kopenhagen Ismail Palungan said on Saturday, Jan. 26, that more than 900 people of Lithuania visited the Indonesian pavilion on the first day of the exhibition. They enthusiastically asked Indonesian tourism agency Be Wish about tourism package in the archipelagic country.
Lithuania Prime Minister admitted that the tourism promotion event had reached 1,000 visitors which will increase the connectivity of the country through the opening of new flight routes.
The Adventur 2019 tourism exhibition is opened for three days from January 25 to 27. The visitors are entertained by various performances of Indonesian cultures such as topeng dance (mask dance), gantar dance, and chiseling demonstration that was done by an Indonesian artist domiciled in Lithuania, Made Sutama.
Despite the chill and snowy weather, visitors keep flocking the event which shows that the people of Lithuania view vacation as something important.
Besides tourism promotion, the Indonesian pavilion also crowded by visitors who want to taste Indonesian culinary such as nasi uduk, semur, kembang goyang, Sumatran coffee, and many others.
