WhatsApp Update to Allow Users to Download Old Files in Chat

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - WhatsApp will launch an update that allows users to download old files in chat, even if they have been deleted from the users' local storage, as reported by the Business Today, April 16.
In the midst of a data protection crisis, WhatsApp has launched another feature to increase the users’ liability in storing personal data securely. That is why this short messaging app makes improvements to the end-to-end user encryption for data security.

According to a report from WAbetainfo, the new feature will be added via WhatsApp update between versions 2.18.106 and 2.18.110. It will allow users to download old files in chat even after it has been deleted from the user's local storage.
WhatsApp will store files on the user's server for a longer time. Previously, WhatsApp lets the file recipients to download within 30 days.
The Gizbot page explains that the WhatsApp update will let users download images and videos. Users can download them from the messages sent two months earlier. The update will be launched for iOS in the near future.
