Former Cooperative Minister Dies at 73

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Adi Sasono on Saturday (13/8) passed away at the age of 73.

Adi was a minister of the Development Reformasi Cabinet during former President B.J. Habibie, Adi Sasono.

The news of his death was confirmed by one of the staffs at the Cooperative and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry.

“It is true. Pak Adi has died,” said Agus, Secretary of the Ministry on Saturday.

Agus said that Adi died at Mayapada hospital in, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta at 5:20 pm. His body was then taken to his house on Jalan Swakarya Bawah 1 A, Kompleks DDN I Pondok Labu, South Jakarta.

Adi was buried on Sunday (14/8).

Adi Sasono was born in Pekalongan, Central Java, on 16 February 1943.
