43 Ministerial Candidates to Be screened by KPK

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President-elect Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo held a private meeting with vice president-elect Jusuf 'JK' Kalla at his official residence this morning.

Jokowi’s team transition deputy Andi Widjajanto said: "They [were having] breakfast, while discussing about ministers."

The discussion about ministerial positions should now be at the final stage.

Both the Transition Team chief Rini Soemarno and Deputy Andi Widjajanto were seen at Jokowi's official residence. "We’re not involved in the discussion. We're here to discuss about the inauguration details and rehearsal today," said Andi.

The number of the ministerial candidates has now reduced to 43 names to be submitted to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and to the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), according to Andi.
