TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - What did you do when you were an 8-year-old kid?  Many people were probably having fun playing with friends of their age at that time.  However, different from the majority of kids, a boy named Evan is able to rake US$1.3 million (Rp15 billion) a year by posting videos on YouTube.

Evan is the boy behind EvanTUbeHD channel with having 817,000 subscribers.  However, its not a video that displays talent such as singing or music playing, Evan’s channel post videos is about reviewing toys and video games.

EvanTube HD channel is created by Evan and his father, Jared.  Their first post is Angry Birds stop-motion videos from Angry Bird toys.

To NewsWeek, Jared tells how Evan channel makes money.  Turns out that Jared conducted a negotiation with toy-brand owners and ads that appeared in the channel that became Evan’s source of income.  “All of the proceeds from the channel goes into investment and savings accounts for our children,” Evan’s father, Jared, said.

Evans video can be enjoyed by everyone of different age and sex.  One review of Angry Birds toy even has 50 million viewers.
