TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2,900 meters above sea level-height hill, a.k.a. the B-29, becomes a featured tourist destination in Lumajang, East Java. From the top of the B-29 hill, tourists can see the view of the vast sand and Mount Bromo from an unusual angle. B-29 is located in Argosari, Senduro District, Lumajang.
"B-29 has become the flagship attraction of Lumajang since two years ago," said Gawat Sudarmanto, the Head of Lumajang Tourism, Art and Culture Office to Tempo, on Saturday.
Efforts to promote the hill has been done including promoting the hill on tourism events held in East Java and displaying photos of Bromo sea sand taken from B-29 hill in hotels.
Gawat further said that the access to B-29 is already convenient enough with asphalt road stretching from Senduro District to Argosari. From Argosari, tourists can ride a motor taxi to B-29 hill that is included in the area of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
