TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Provincial Government will evaluate their cooperation with PT Industri Kereta Api (Inka), the manufacturer of the detached articulated TransJakarta bus. As reported previously, an articulated TransJakarta bus was detached on Jalan Raya Bekasi Timur, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Thursday, because its connecting bolts were broken.

“I will check the technology used to build that bus. They (PT Inka) promised would give big bolts, go ahead. If so, we’ll hold. If we bought it, we will not buy those broken products. That’s how to punish them,” stated Jakarta Deputy Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama, Monday.

According to Ahok, the technology used all around the world is usually Volvo for articulated buses.

“We’ll see. If they used an unclear technology, there is possibility of another parts broken,” he uttered.

For information, the detached articulated TransJakarta bus was manufactured by PT Inka in 2011 and started to be operated in 2012. The bus used Inobus brand and there were 21 units of it. All of these buses are operated in TransJakarta bus corridor XI (Kampung Melayu-Pulogebang).
