BMKG: Parts of Jakarta to See Rain during the Day, Potential Strong Winds in the Afternoon

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) estimates that Jakarta's weather on Sunday morning, February 11, 2024 will be cloudy, while during the day some areas will experience rain.

Entering the afternoon, rain is expected to rain in parts of Jakarta, including West Jakarta, South Jakarta and parts of East Jakarta.

"Be alert to the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds which could occur in most areas of South Jakarta, East Jakarta and West Jakarta in the afternoon," said BMKG as quoted by BMKG on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands (Seribu Islands) are observed to be sunny so outdoor activities are still considered safe. The sunny weather also lasted at night in all areas of Jakarta.

Even so, on Monday morning, rain has the potential to fall on parts of Jakarta, including the Seribu Islands which will have heavy rainfall, unlike West, Central and North Jakarta which will have light intensity.

The average temperature in Jakarta on Monday reached 24 degrees Celsius. For West Jakarta, the temperature is estimated at 24-30 degrees, Central Jakarta 25-29, South Jakarta 24-30, East Jakarta 24-30, North Jakarta 25-29 and Seribu Islands 26-28.

Meanwhile, humidity in Jakarta is at 80 percent, with details in West Jakarta 80-95, Central Jakarta 80-95, South Jakarta 75-95. East Jakarta 75-95, North Jakarta 80-95 and Seribu Islands 80-90 percent.
