Jakarta Concert Orchestra to Hold 'An Anime Symphony' This Weekend

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Musical events were scheduled to take place this weekend on December 9-10, 2023. Tempo English collected several events for those who wish to spend the weekend, namely the Anime Symphony in Jakarta, the 'Panggung Rakyat: Bongkar' concert held by ASDI, and Idgitaf's 'Mengudara' Jakarta concert.

Check out the list of this weekend agenda below:

1. JCO's 'An Anime Symphony'

The Jakarta Concert Orchestra or JCO is scheduled to hold its first anime-themed orchestra on Saturday, Dec. 9, with 'An Anime Symphony' at Jakarta Theater Building in Ismail Marzuki Park. The orchestra will be held at 03:30 p.m. and 07:30 p.m. local time.

The orchestra will showcase 25 songs from various iconic anime movies and series. Those include Studio Ghibli's songs from The Boy and the Heron", "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind", "Howl's Moving Castle", "Spirited Away", "Kiki's Delivery Service", Moonlight Densetsu from the classic anime series "Sailor Moon", Detective Conan Main Theme from "Detective Conan", and others.

2. 'Panggung Rakyat: Bongkar' Concert

Initiated by the Safe Indonesia's Democracy Alliance (ASDI), 'Panggung Rakyat: Bongkar' is a free-of-charge musical concert scheduled to be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Madya Stadium, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta. The musical concert is held as a commemoration of Anti-corruption Day on the 9th of December and Human Rights Day on the 10th of December.

The concert will start at 01:00 p.m. local time, bringing various prominent musicians from Indonesia, such as Kotak, Anto Baret feat. Andi Malewa, Endank Soekamti, Tony Q. Rastafara, Jamrud, Dead Squad, Pas Band, Iwa K., and others. 

3. Idgitaf 'Mengudara' Tour

The Indonesian singer Idgitaf is holding her first tour to accompany her first full album release,' Mengudara'. Her Jakarta leg of the tour is set for Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at Pos Bloc, Jakarta.

Idgitaf will perform nine songs from her debut album as well as a couple of her previous hit songs, such as 'Terpikat Senyummu' and 'Takut'. Through this album, Idgitaf hopes to showcase an honest interpretation of her album and meet intimately with her fans.
