Batik Air Offers Non-Stop Flights from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur, Penang

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The member of Lion Group, Batik Air, is offering non-stop flights that connect Indonesia through the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport to Kuala Lumpur and Penang.

"The existing operations, namely Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur, offer 6 flights a day and Jakarta-Penang is offering 2 flights a day," said Corporate Communications Strategic of Batik Air, Danang Mandala Prihantoro in a written statement on Thursday, November 2.

Batik Air operates the routes on Boeing 737-800NG, with 12 business class seat-capacity and 150 economy class seat-capacity.

According to Danang, the varying flight frequency and flight schedules will help tourists and businesspeople choose the appropriate option to explore Malaysia better. "This will help people choose the flight schedule appropriate or their trip itinerary and provides flexibility to plan the trip to Malaysia," he said.

The non-stop route flights also offer a multicity options to assist tourists and businesspeople in choosing a more flexible trip, merging several trips into one. Additionally, Danang said, through Kuala Lumpur and Penang, tourists and businesspeople will be directed to various tourist destinations in Malaysia in popular cities such as Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Malaka, and others.

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur also connects passengers to more than 40 favorite cities in various countries which will facilitate tourists and businesspeople in choosing an international destination. Some of the countries include Vietnam, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan, South Korea, Hongkong, China, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and India.
