TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta-Bandung High-speed Train (KJCB), which is now called Whoosh, has reopened its free ticket reservations from October 8 to 10, 2023.
Eva Chairunisa, General Manager Corporate Secretary of the Indonesia China High-speed Train (KCIC), said that her party wants to invite the public with a Rp 0 (zero rupiah) ticket promo program so that people will be more familiar with the Whoosh high-speed train.
One passenger ID can be used for five tickets, and can only be used for one trip per ticket. Registration can be done via the latest website link, namely ticket.kcic.co.id. After registering, passengers will receive an email as proof of registration.
However, when the Tempo team tried to register an account on Sunday afternoon, October 8, 2023, they still faced problems, so they were unable to order this free ticket. Especially in the WhatsApp verification section.
When opening ticket.kcic.co.id, customers are directed to fill out a form or register an account first. There is some personal data that must be filled in, such as full name, ID number, email, WhatsApp number and date of birth. Registrants are also asked to create a username and password.
There are two verifications that must be passed, namely email verification and WhatsApp.
For the email verification, after the registrant enters their email address, within up to 60 seconds, the KCIC Ticketing System will send a verification code. Then the code must be entered again on the ticket registration form.
Same thing for the WhatsApp verification stage, registrants need to enter their WhatsApp number. After that, the registrant waits for the verification code to enter the registered WhatsApp. However, the Tempo team encountered problems at this stage. Different from what happened during the email verification stage, the WhatsApp verification code did not arrive.
The same problem is also faced when registering via other devices or equipment. When the Tempo team tried to use laptops and smartphones, the same problems arose. As a result, account registration cannot be completed and ticket reservations cannot be made.
Meanwhile, when Tempo tried to enter two verification codes in email and WhatsApp, when the form was submitted, the statement 'username not found' appeared. This was done several times during the registration test via the link ticket.kcic.co.id.
When asked for confirmation, General Manager Corporate Secretary of the Indonesia China High-speed Train (KCIC) Eva Chairunisa claimed that so far, there had been no problems in ordering KCJB tickets. However, according to her, it is likely that the majority of tickets have already been sold out.
