BMKG Forecasts More Hot Weather in Greater Jakarta Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After a partly cloudy morning, scorching hot weather is expected to sweep across Jakarta today, September 14, 2023. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted that the city’s skies would be clear in the afternoon and evening.
The air temperature will be uniformly between 24 and 34 degrees Celsius. This is different from the previous weather forecast, as the temperature varied from region to region, with some reaching 36 degrees Celsius.
For the regions surrounding Jakarta, the weather is expected to be partly sunny in the morning and evening in Bekasi and Depok. The same is true for Bogor and Cibinong in Bogor Regency. However, the two regions are forecast to be cloudy tonight.
The air temperature ranges between 20-33 degrees Celsius for the Bekasi area and 20-32 degrees Celsius for Cibinong, Depok, and Bogor City.
BMKG also issued an early warning of increasing wind speeds in the West Java Province areas.
Meanwhile, the hot weather is also expected for Tangerang City, Serpong (South Tangerang), and Tigaraksa (Tangerang Regency) this morning. The regions will be partly sunny in the afternoon and completely cloudy in the evening. Throughout the day, the air temperature will be around 24-34 degrees Celsius.
