TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government has disbursed the state budget through the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), ministries, and institutions amounting to Rp1.9 trillion for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of Lombok and Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) post-earthquake.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said the budget amounted to Rp307 billion. “The budget includes assistance for 5,000 damaged housing units,” she said at the Vice President Office, Jakarta, Monday, August 27.
The budget for the Ministry of Social Affairs reaches Rp1.25 trillion and will be used to provide compensation, food packages, soup kitchens, clothing and food, logistics, and tents. While the fund for the Ministry of Health amounted to Rp7.8 billion for medicines, nutritional logistics, and health post tents.
The Ministry of Finance has also disbursed the fund amounting to Rp176.2 billion for the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, for water tankers, sanitation cars, dump trucks, toilet cabin, generators, and tents.
The Ministry of Education and Culture also received a budget of Rp230 billion to provide school equipment and temporary school tents. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is given Rp1.5 billion to make emergency response wells.
According to Sri Mulyani, the government is processing a budget request from BNPB amounted Rp6 trillion for the total rehabilitation and reconstruction in Lombok. “We are examining,” she said.
