TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno welcomed seven representatives of volunteer supporter at the Melawai Outpost in South Jakarta on Thursday, August 23, 2018.

"All of them delivered their concerns," Sandi said after the meeting.

Sandiaga explained that his campaign with presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto will focus on two main areas of the economy, namely employment and staple commodities. "We need to share the same priority," Sandiaga said.

The first priority is to ensure that the economic conception in the 2019 presidential election has a place in the heart of the people. For example, Sandi said that the IDR 1 billion village fund is quite large. "How can this large budget create new businesses," Sandi stated.

Sandi asserted that growth must also be felt not only in the city, but also in villages.

"The city's economy may advance but the village is also a strategic place to ensure that economic opportunities, prices that are now increasing, can be solved by the stronger role of the village, in the future, in employment and prices," Sandi said.
