TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police said that the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) is currently investigating hate speech group Saracen’ s financial transaction activities.
“We discovered that there are around 11 bank accounts. We asked PPATK to investigate Saracen’s transaction activities,” said Police's head of public information Comr. Martinus on Wednesday evening, August 30.

He explained that the bank accounts are used to receive payments from their customers. Police recently arrested three suspects who were the administrators for the Saracen group on Facebook.

Saracen is suspected to be involved in spreading hoaxes and hate speech through social media posts such as memes and pictures that are accompanied by fake descriptions.
