TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives (DPR) said that the development target in the draft of the 2018 State Budget Draft (RAPBN) has been deliberated with the government.
“The target of the open unemployment rate is set at somewhere between 5.0 and 5.3 percent,” the DPR's Budgetary Board chairman Azis Syamsuddin said at the Senayan Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta today, July 11.
In the 2017 State Budget, the target of the open unemployment rate was set at 5.6 percent. The target of the poverty rate in the State Budget draft (RAPBN) has been set at 9.5-10 percent, which is lower than that set at 10.5 percent in 2017.
The Gini coefficient ratio and the Human Development Index (IPM) have been set at 0.39 and 71.5, respectively. Meanwhile, the Gini coefficient ratio and the IPM were set at 0.39 and 70.1, respectively, in 2017.
Azis explained that the achievement of the open unemployment rate and the poverty rate targets in 2018 would be influenced by economic growth and job opportunities.
“New quality job opportunities are needed,” he said.
According to the Functional Group (Golkar) politician, the decreasing unemployment rate is expected to reduce the number of people living below the poverty line.
In the 2018 State Budget (RAPBN), the economic growth is expected to reach 5.2-5.6 percent with an inflation rate of somewhere between 2.5 and 4.5 percent. The rupiah exchange against the US dollar is assumed at Rp13,300-Rp13,500 per US dollar. In addition, the three-month treasury bill (SPN) rate is set at 4.8-5.6 percent.
The Indonesian Crude Price (ICP) is assumed at US$45-55 per barrel in the 2018 (RAPBN). In addition, the oil lifting target is set at 771,000-815,000 per day, and the gas lifting target is set at 1,194,000-1,235,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
