Situation of Poso terrorist raid

TEMPO.CO, Poso- Santoso, one of the most wanted leaders of a terrorist network, was known to occasionally appear in Poso. Chief of Poso Resort Police Chief Commissioner Susnadi confirmed the report. "Yes, according to the citizens, Santoso appears in Poso from time to time,," he said, Wednesday.

With that information, Susnadi and his team would intensify the search and sweeping activities in Poso. They would also strengthen the intelligence on early detection, protection of vital objects, and routine safety patrol in the area.

One of the measures to narrow the funding operations of the terrorists is to eradicate numerous illegal businesses suspected to be terrorist-operated. Among the illegal businesses are fuel smuggling, gambling, and bike theft. "We are actively thwarting these cases in Poso," explained Susnadi.

Santoso, known by various a.k.aes such as Abu Wardah, San, Pak De, and Komandan, is one of the high-ranking officers of Poso terrorist network yet to be apprehended. However, the network itself was recently neutralized and the majority of its members were gunned down by the Special Detachment 88.
