TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto expressed his outrage against the country`s news agencies for not covering the 212 reunion rally at Monas in Jakarta on Sunday, December 2.

“Almost all of the media refused to report that more than eleven million people gathering,” said Prabowo today, Dec. 5, in his speech at the 26th International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

He protested against the media for failing to blatantly mention the millions of people that were present at the event, which he claims was not funded by anyone.

Furthermore, Prabowo Subianto accused the media of manipulating democracy; “Media that claims to be objective, responsible and defends democracy, but in reality, they are responsible for being part of the attempt to manipulate democracy,” said the former special commands forces Commander (Kopassus).

He claims that he reads numerous newspapers just to see what lies are being reported. “I am just curious upon what more lies [are being written],” he argued.

Prabowo did not stop there and further attacked the journalists that he claims have betrayed their responsibilities by not reporting the 212 Reunion Rally.

He also went on a personal vendetta by accusing journalists that were present there at the 26th International Day of Persons with Disabilities were mainly to wait for him to make a mistake. Prabowo also pushed audience members to stop respecting journalists.
