TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra deputy chairman Ferry Juliantono said that President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's statement that the president wanted to slap hoax spreaders who called him as a member of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) was inappropriate.
“The statement shows that he is inappropriate to be a president,” Ferry said at Gedung Joang 45, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday, November 23.
Ferry was reluctant to judge whether the diction was properly pronounced by a president. “Increasingly inappropriate,” said the spokesman for Prabowo-Sandiaga’s National Winning Body.
Ferry said that Jokowi was increasingly seen unable to cover his anxiety about the pressure to maintain his power. Moreover, Ferry said, Jokowi’s electability as the incumbent was actually stagnant.

Ferry claimed that the electability of Prabowo and Sandiaga actually increased. He claimed that Prabowo’s team was optimistic and would remain focused on economic issues to win the 2019 presidential election.
“The political reality shows that Pak Jokowi’s electability was stagnant. According to our internal surveys, the electability of Prabowo-Sandi is significant,” Ferry said.
Previously, President Jokowi complained about the PKI issue that was linked to him. He exuded his complaints while distributing land certificates in Central Lampung today.
Jokowi claimed to have been patient for four years with the issue. This time, he said, he wanted to find out who spread the hoax and slap the spreaders.
"Sometimes, this is what makes me want to find and slap the spreaders, I will chase them," the Jokowi said.
