TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian National Scouts Movement leader Adhyaksa Dault, demanded the regional scouts council to refuse the facilities from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
"The ministry should give the supports to the national council [Kwarnas], not directly to the regional council [Kwarda]," said Adhyaksa when contacted on Saturday, April 21, 2018.
Adhyaksa expressed his concern in a circular letter dated April 18, 2018. Adhyaksa stated that Minister Imam Nahrowi did not know about the procedure of giving assistance to the scouts movement. According to Adhyaksa, providing facilities for Kwarda is the authority city governor or mayor.
Earlier, the ministry issued a letter dated April 3, 2018, noting the government's call for proposal from regional scouts council to be listed in the 2018 state budget. The supports will be given in the form of scouting activities to help to develop the organization.
Adhyaksa asserted that he will continuously refuse the assistance until there is an agreement between the ministry and national scouts leaders. Adhyaksa claimed that he has requested for a meeting but Minister Imam has yet responded.
