Jakarta Police Focus on Traffic Management during Easter Holiday

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - North Jakarta Police mobilized 155 personnel consisting of police and armed forces (TNI) members to secure the Easter Holiday celebration in North Jakarta.
The main security post was placed at the Cathedral Church in Pasar Baru, Sawah Besar. “We also focused our efforts on six other churches,” said Sawah Besar Police Chief Commissioner Mirzal Maulana on Friday, March 30.
According to Mirzal, the current personnel was also mobilized from the Central Jakarta’s mobile brigade police that is spread across several locations along the main road to the Cathedral Church.
He further added that there are no special security measures for this year’s Easter celebration and instead applying police’s standard operations in securing a national holiday.
“The usual security measures, nothing's too special,” he said.
The police are continuing their efforts to manage the traffic congestion in the vicinity of Churches that is heavily congested during the Easter celebration.
