One victim in Pinus forest was slightly injured. Meanwhile, the three others were reported to be swept away by the landslides at the Riung Gunung, they were still being searched.
While in Cijeruk, there are five victims who were buried by the landslides. Four of those who have died have been evacuated and one victim is still being searched.
According to Willem, the search and evacuation effort is not easy, because it takes time, uses water pumps, and should be extracted slowly. The weather became an obstacle in the search and evacuation of the victims.
If it rains, the search cannot be done to avoid any casualties from the search and rescue (SAR) team. “We have to pay attention to the team’s safety that is doing the search and evacuation,” Willem said.
