TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Danareksa Securities analyst Lucky Bayu Purnomo said the earthquake that shook Jakarta, Banten and surrounding areas did not affect stock trading at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
"Everything is normal and the exchange is still trading as usual," Lucky told Tempo earlier today, January 23.

According to Lucky said the brief earthquake did not have a significant impact.
An earthquake hits Jakarta and its surrounding areas on Tuesday, January 23, at 13:34. According to the Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the quake has a magnitude of 6.4 SR.
The BMKG said that the earthquake is centered in Banten region.

Lucky said that when the earthquake happened some of the people inside the IDX building rushed out, but not everyone.
In his opinion, the people inside of the building did not panic, just more alert of the situation, especially after the floor collapse that happened last week.
