TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will extend travel ban on the House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Setya Novanto. The KPK chief Agus Rahadjo said that Setya will need to be questioned over other suspects in the electronic identity cards (e-KTP) graft case.
The KPK has submitted a request for a travel ban for Setya Novanto to Directorate General of Immigration of the Justice and Human Rights Ministry. “Previously, the person in question was slapped with a travel ban as he became a witness and it would be extended once expired,” he said.

The said travel ban will expire on October 10.
The KPK has named six suspects in the e-KTP graft case with the latest was PT Quadra Solution CEO Anang Sugiana Sudihardjo on September 27.
Anang allegedly played a role in handing over money to Novanto and other house members through other suspect Andi Narogong in the e-KTP project.
Setya Novanto earlier saw his pretrial motion approved by Judge Cepi Iskandar of the South Jakarta District Court. The KPK is currently considering issuing another investigation warrant against the DPR Speaker.
