Transjakarta Stops Will Have Metal Detector: Acting Governor

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Acting Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat has instructed related agencies to tighten up security at Transjakarta stops following the suicide bombing attack that hit Kampung Melayu Transjakarta bust stop.
According to Djarot, one of the security measures is by adding and improving the existing facilities.
"I want that whoever enters the stops, they have to go through a metal detector and be checked,” Djarot said on Sunday (28/5).
Djarot added that initially, the measure would probably disturb passengers but said that the measure is needed to ensure safety.
In addition to installing metal detectors, Djarot said that lighting in the stops can be improved and CCTV will be added in those stops.
