TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - House of Representative Speaker, Setya Novanto, is certain that relations between Indonesia and the United States of America will proceed exceptionally following Donald Trump’s inauguration as the President of the United States. Trump, according to Setya, is eager to partner with Indonesia.
“Trump really appreciates Indonesia as the largest Islamic nation. At the time when I met Trump, he really appreciated that and wanted to work with Indonesia,” Setya said on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Trump was officially appointed as the 45th President of the United States at Capitol Hill on Friday, January 20, 2017, along with Michael Richard Pence as the Vice President.
