Jokowi Postpones Australia Visit

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo has decided to postpone his state visit to Australia.

The decision was made following the development after the rally on 4 November 2016.

“This development requires the presence of President Jokowi in Indonesia," according to a press release from the Foreign Affairs Ministry on Saturday (5/11).

Jokowi was previously scheduled to fly to Australia on 6-8 November 2016 for a state visit.

The ministry also reported that Jokowi has contacted the Australian Prime Minister for the postponement of the visit.
