Jakarta ID Card is Valid for a Lifetime: Official

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Jakarta Dept. of Population and Civil Registration stated that e-ID card is valid for a lifetime. It is based on instruction from the Home Affairs Ministry.
“Yes, e-ID card is valid for a lifetime,” said Edison Sinaturi, head of the agency, Wednesday (1/27).
He explained that citizens should not extend the card period except of data changing such as address, lost or broken.
According to him, this policy is managed under Act No 24/2013.
