TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - National Narcotics Agency chief Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso said he is currently preparing `phantom` troops that are specifically trained to fight against drugs.
“They are still being trained and prepared,” he said on Thursday, Oct 8.
These troops are also trained to use special tools. “I guarantee that these troops cannot be bribed, taken advantage of and fooled around,” he said.
Budi also said they will work secretly in places where drug trafficking is rampant, such as nightclubs in Jakarta.
Drug trafficking in Indonesia is massive, so massive measures are needed, Budi added. “The effect of drug is already seen even on state officials and students,” he said, adding that efforts must be made in order to save millions of youths from abusing drugs.
